Last weekend attended a friend's baby girl birthday party, it  hosted at KFC. Guess most of us also didn't knew KFC provide this service. In the package, they allowed to use the entire floor for 2 hours. For a small gathering, it could consider as a nice plan. This was the first time I documentary down a baby birthday party.

 

The birthday girl for the day was Ng Pui Wei, 1 year old. A cute baby girl but guess that day too moody, not able to get a bright smile shoot :).
As usual, I applied what's learned for such shooting, you can apply the wedding photography rule here. You need a storyboard in your mind, then capture what's ever needed based on the storyboard.

First, for the starting, of course to snap the items and background such as the red egg below and the backdrop above.

Then next thing to do was capture the activities that going on, such as games, birthday cake and etc.

The MC of that day was preparing the games session.

 

Make sure you got a laughing close up :). It can cheer up your album.

The most important part :), birthday girl and the cake.

Invite the other kids for photos session as well. Especially girls..they are very cute.

After you got everything, you can compile a video slide show for it. You need at least 30 nice shoot to make it. Below was a slide I made, hope you like it and learn how the way I did it.
