On 24-July-2010, visited the 11th Malaysia International Food & Beverage Trade Fair or MIFB 2010, it hosted at Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC). It was a very nice event if you like foods. Reached there around 2PM, admission for public is RM 10 but I managed to get a media pass at the Media counter. While if you got a business card, you can get free entrance as well but the queue was way too long.

There were 2 halls, which the first hall was showcasing international products mainly from China and Taiwan. We started to head toward Taiwan Pavilion, you could try a lot of Taiwan gourmets here.

At the end of the hall, you could found the highlight of the event, Taipei 101 to The Twin Towers. It was a sight of the 116cm PETRONAS Twin Towers and the 150cm Taipei 101, made entirely out of Taiwan taro.
Yes, it was certainly a stunning sight as two of the world’s most famous towers came together. There were 4 internationally renowned Malaysian chefs from YTL Group Hotel to turn the finest premium ingredients from Taiwan into astounding works of arts. Their amazing food sculpture skills breathed life into the Taiwan taro.
One lovely booth that needs to highlight here was the Texture Maker Enterprise from Taiwan, their modified Starch and Donut premix was really taste good. But too bad, can’t buy back the colorful donut home because it only for display.

The Sweet Promoter ask us: "Want to try one? :)"
Another highlight was the square watermelon, only allowed to see but not touched, SW wanted to hold it for photos but being told not, they scared the watermelon broken due to put there few days.

Some funny decoration

There were other sections for Iran, China and etc. But too bad, for the China pavilion, most of the booths started to close, guessed their purpose here were mainly for trade and not for public.

At Malaysia sections, you may found lot of local products and food manufacturers took parts. This was the best place to taste food samples, you could taste different range of foods from drinks, chocolate, frozen food, sauce, vegetables, fruits and etc. Beside, most of them were doing promotion, for us, we bought 2 packs of Khadijak Burger for RM 10 only. It can serve for my breakfast for few weeks.
Khadijak Burger, we bought it with a cheap price :), taste good.

Fresh tomato from Cameron Highland
SW also bought 10 bottles of Jelly B, it was natural drinks that without sugar, colouring, preservative and flavouring. It is product from Thailand, but it just started to market here which not even can be found at Hypermarket yet. There are few favors, Sea Coconut Vinegar, Herbal Tea, Aloe Vera Juice, Garcinnia Juice, and Bitter Grounds Juice. After tested, the most favor I like was Bitter Grounds Juice.
If you want to find out more, you can visit their official website www.aonebeverage.com or call 6019-3362397 A ONE Foods & Beverages.
The most crowed booths was MADO, why? Hehe.. everybody was waiting their free ICE Cream. From the photos below, you can see how busy the Ice Cream Master was.

The manager told everybody, no more ice-cream, the counter need to be closed soon :(. I didn't got chance to taste a cup yet. Too bad.
Spicy and Hot Chili from Pakistan
As usual, I also climbed up to take a top to ground shoot, second time I did that, if you didn’t have a get media pass, please don’t follow yah, else later caught wasn’t good.

We exited the place around 4:00PM, most of the booths started to pack up, and sample food also finished. Luckily we made it early. Spend around RM 60 for foods there, purchased otak-otak, burger meat, curry, vegetarian pack, Jelly B, and fresh tomatoes. A nice hang out plus can stock up our fridge.
