31-August-2010, our 53th Merdeka Day (Malaysia National Day). This round, the celebration held at Stadium Putra Bukit Jalil, guess is first time celebration held inside an indoor stadium with air-conditional environment. It was also Tamron August Outing, was my second time joined this group that lead by Billion Lim. Reached there around 7:15 am, all of us gathered at the Bukit Jalil LRT Station. Without any dragging, I registered with Sai Fong(event's PR), she briefed me about the agenda. As usual, each participant will be given a free Tamron T-Shirt and towel. Everyone was asked to wear the T-Shirt for group photos, but wonder why still got one wear RED ?

You could find the Merdeka Car at  this area, a Nash Rambler Custom Convertible 1951. Car plate M4442.

It is the same model that the first Prime Minister Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra rode on Feb 20, 1956 to Padang Bandar Hilir in Malacca where he announced the date of the country’s independence after he returned from London. Why I said same model? I did a search and found out that, in year 2003, they searched with JPJ and discovered that there was no car with the plate number M4442, so the car that was used to send Tunku to the field should no longer be in existence. The one we saw here actually was imported from United State at year 2007. Guess most of us didn't knew. You may check it out for the full write up about this new.

Founding fathers Tun Tan Cheng Lock and Datuk Panglima Bukit Gantang Toh Muda Haji Abdul Wahab Abdul Aziz were also in the car believed to be owned by an individual from Malacca who volunteered to ferry them to the crowd of 100,000 people. SW SALUTE !!!

The paint and rim still shine and glow..could clearly saw my own reflection.

Next, we gathered again..and asked to get ready to ROLL....

MERDEKA...MERDEKA...

Just follow the banners, it could lead you toward the stadium.

You could see a lot of Malaysia's flags swinging to welcome the VIP.

Around 8 am, Agung was reached..the music was on and everybody happily swinging the flag for a GREAT WELCOME.

One of the VIP luxury car, Bentley, easily cost more than RM 500k.

A photo taken by SW, improved a lot :)

There were a lot of cute little fellows, so for sure, would snap a lot of close up. Wasn't easy to get a nice shoot actually, this was the first time I attended National Day Celebration over my 30+ years. Too many target there and you really need to know how to capture those good one. I wasted almost half an hour to catch up. Started with some kids close up below :

She didn't smile, so not a good target :(..

Not cute enough...:P

Another one that didn't smile and lack of facial expression..:(

Pressed the shuttle too fast..the flag covered her forehead :(..Miss again...

Nice costume..getting there...:)

Yeah!!..This is what I want :)..

Trying to do some own setup..:)..

Beside kids, this was most outstanding family that wore Malaysia Flag Outfit. The best dress of the day. So for sure, they would be interviewed.

Of course you would see lot's of HUNTERs with DSLR there.

When the music started..the best part to snap started as well. The atmosphere was full of ACTIONS..

I guessed they shouting  "1Malaysia"..

To Snap a nice photograph was really hard due to lack of field experience, luckily still managed to snap a satisfied shoot. The Malay girl below with a GREAT and SWEET smile, when she swing the flag with her bright SMILE, from that I knew I got to focus on her till I get what's I want :) ..

Ok..that's all for my Merdeka Outing..if you loved to experience it, I guess 16 September, there will be a celebration as well.
