Penang is a food paradise, there are a lot of nice food there. A friend brought us to a really nice restaurant during my Merderka Penang’s visit, which was Wong Chau Jun Restaurant (王昭君小食館). We went there for breakfast, I guess most of the people didn’t knew this restaurant, only local knew it. Luckily we got a good guide.


The signature dish for Wong Chau Jun Restaurant is “Wong Chau Jun Spicy and Sour Fish Head Bihun (???????), you can order Fish Head or Fish Meat, we ordered Fish Head and it really taste finger licking good!! :) . It is a hearty dish that absolutely satisfies.

Beside that, we ordered Wong Chau Jun Special Toufu, Steamed Fish Slice Hor Fun, and Pork Rib Noodle (???).

Wanted to highlight here is the Steamed Fish Slice Hor Fun, it served with steamed fish slices and soy sauce, which taste light and delicious, the taste is simply heavenly!

In conclusion, most of us when visit Penang, we would try the Penang Laksa near the Gek Lok Shi Temple, but not much of us know this restaurant, I highly recommend you to visit this place, and I am sure I will be backed for it in future.
