The Kanching Waterfall is located between Kuala Lumpur and Rawang in Selangor, Malaysia. Kanching Watefall is a popular tourist destination in Kuala Lumpur. But still a lot of local not aware of it. It is near Templer's Park, please take not both are different place although it is near to each other. For personal feel, I love Kanching Waterfall more than Templer's Park.

On last Sunday, I revisited this place with friends again, just bring along my Kodak Playsport ZX3 because didn't want to take care my DSLR which not waterproof.

The waterfalls  consist of seven tiers. A well-maintained recreation park provides access to the lower falls. To reach the upper falls uphill scrambling may be necessary.

I went up for the level 7 till we reached the head of waterfall on year 2009. But for this round, our intention went there only for picnic so didn't plan to hike so far, which Level 5 is our final destination. Total eight of us went there together with our foods and drinks :).

Try to reach there as earlier as possible, because after 11am, this place will be crowded on weekend.

Upon the entrance you can notice that the camp site is just in front of it. You are allow to camp here, but you need to apply for permission and guess a minimal fees will be charge. By the way, there is a resort here as well for stay in chalet. You can check it out if you want to over night at the office building that near the entrance.

To reach level five waterfall, it is not very hard, we just need to climb the ladder around 10-15 minutes, and you will reach there, on the way, do enjoy the nice scenery.

Yoga at Waterfall ??

It was really fun when your when you lying down against the rock at the waterfall. You could feel the refreshing cold water flowing all over your body, it was a great way to release tension.

Enjoying the water fall by feeling the water flow from our heads till feet.

The foods and drinks that we prepared. But I advised you to bring some hot water for coffee, it will be very nice especially after the cold water bath.

Beside rock, you can found monkey here as well, just passed them fruit or nut, they will come over to took it from your hand. I recorded down with a video, do check it yah.

Although didn't bring my DSLR, but still used my video camera to do some snap shot, an idea for you, snap all the slippers or shoes you could find :D.

How to go to Kanching Waterfall

If you come from Kuala Lumpur direction, use Jalan Kuching heading to Kepong direction, you will by pass Kepong then Selayang, all the way straight and heading to Rawang. Go straight until you see Tesco Rawang on your front left, once you saw tesco keep right and a traffic light in front of you, do a U-turn on this traffic light then heading back to KL direction. You will see Kanching Waterfall sign board on your left after few minutes drive. Keep left and go inside the parking. Few ringgit parking fees will be charged.

At last, had to mentioned about the toilet, it is very clean, so no worry on it, but each time you enter you need to pay RM 0.50, but is worth because a lot of Malaysia's waterfall didn't had a good changing room.
