Tesco Walk for Kids was hosted at Putrajaya, 13-March-2011, 8am by Tesco. This charity walk was aim to to raise fund for Rumah Nur Salam – a 24 hours activity centre and safehouse to homeless children in the Chow Kit area, giving the children a chance to rise above parental neglect, suffering and uncertainties. Beside it also aims to promote healthy lifestyle. Today, I need to woke up at 6am and prepared myself to this event. A fee for participate RM 10 and me and my wife already registered this event at Tesco 2 weeks ago.

All of us was given white T-shirt with the nice looking logo at the registration area. The gathering point for this event was Putrajaya Water Sport Complex, you can follow the below nice designed banner to reach it. The venue also just beside the famous Putrajaya Pullman Hotel.

At 7:45am, everybody was gathered at the starting point for warm up exercise. At sharp of 8am, the walk started, it launched by the CEO of TESCO.

Everybody started to walk, yup, is a walkathon, you are not allowed to run :). Anyway, there would not be any winners for this event, each participant that finished the walk would be given a certificate and a goodies bag sponsored by Tesco.

Happily enjoy the walk, there were a lot of parents brought there kids to walk together. Is a wise move, don't always keep your children at shopping mall, healthy exercise message need to be sent to them during their young age.

First, everybody was walking toward Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC). This was also the first time I walked by foot with my dslr for 4.5km, which allowed me to freely capture the nice scenery at Putrajaya, the sky was superb vivid blue with clouds. I knew I could get a lot of nice shoot today :).

Ok, all of us entered the Taman Seri Empangan (Park beside the reservoir), this is the place with a very nice scenery. From Taman Seri Empangan to Pullman Lakeside Putrajaya, the view is awesome, let's me express it with my shoots.

First you will pass by this modern bridge.

A nice view for Putrajaya 4G11 tower, an 38 storey height building, if not mistaken, the project cost 300 millions, will be used as government office building.

Now, you would toward Seri Gemilang Bridge, the walk allow you to have a very close view on this bridge, simply look up, you will found a very nice scenery just on top of you.

Walk under the bridge, you will never experience this if you travel by car :).

In here, you could also enjoy the view of the Putrajaya Lake which the Water Sport Complex and Pullman Hotel were on the other side.

Looking back to the tower buildings..nice :)

Since the sun was nice, we also not forget to take a photo with our shadows.

Baby fall asleep but mummy would still continue the walk till it end.

Walked by the Pullman Hotel, a closer look on it's building. And the below, the man made beach, the scenery look awesome right?

Finally we ended our walk, got the certificate, free drinks, free goodies bag.. But the most happy things I got was the experience and those nice shoots in my memory card. :), can't share every single shoot here, so hope the above photographs were sufficient to express what's I feel :).

How to go Taman Seri Empangan

The park was located at Presint 4 Putrajaya, just head toward PICC, and follow the sign board after you pass by the Seri Gemilang Bridge.

Finally, this is really a nice track for photography or exercise, so what's you waiting for? Plan one day and get your camera or your jogging shoes, go there for a walk, I am sure you will get something that beyond your expectation :).
