Serendah town is a small town at Selangor after Rawang and before Hulu Yam, it is a nice for nature retreat. However not a lot of people know Serendah, a friend of mine brought me there 2 years ago, visiting the beautiful Serendah Waterfall. This was the forth times I visit this place, this round I  the guide. We started our journey at 7:30am, travel from Kuala Lumpur and heading to Serendah town. Since Serendah Waterfall will be crowed after 10am, my advise to you is travel early as possible.


Before entering the waterfall, you shall taste the Serendah Wanton Soup/Wanton Noodle as breakfast before you enter the Serendah Waterfall. Restraurant Sam Hing, with their famous Wanton Soup , the shop is very easy to located because there are only 2 rows of shop lot at Serendah main street.





It is a traditional coffee shop which run by the auntie and her family members, a pure home based F&B business. They also being interviewed by newspaper.



The wanton noodle here was not served in individual plate, but in a big bowl and big plate for few persons portion. The fried and non-fried wanton are fresh and filled with generous pork fillings in soup.

Beside wanton noodle, we also ordered a plate of Sang Mee.

After the tastely breakfast, we proceeded to the waterfall. You still need to drive 5-6 KM from Serendah to reach the waterfall. You need to enter Kampung Dato Harun, and by pass a school then follow the signboard to the Orang Asli Village. Just go straight along the way you entered the Orang Asli Village. At the entrance of Serendah Waterfall, you could see the camp side and some food stalls there. The bath room also can be found here.




The bath room is clean, RM 0.50 per entry, so no need to worry on changing your cloths later.

In Serendah Waterfall, there are basically 3 level of waterfalls. The main fall is just after the entrance, usually this is the most crowed spot, I recommend you hike to the second level of Serendah Waterfall which nicer and less people.





Of course for those who lazy to hike, the main fall is perfect for your selsection, but the water isn't crystal clear...water is a bit yellow as well.



As usual, we hiked up to the Level 2 waterfall, the walking distance only 10 minutes walk, it can't access by car(execept 4 Wheels or motorcyle), but no need to worry much, you can wear slipper to walk up there.




Weather was just nice, not too hot and hot too cold, a sunny day that suitable for waterfall outing. After we arrived the level 2 waterfall, we started to enjoy the fresh cozy water, you can eat a pack of nasi lemak, then jump straight to the water..the feel was fantastic. 





Get yourself lying on the small water stream and enjoy the wonderful water massage.

These are not the only fun spot, actually you can hike up and down from the level 2 Serendah waterfall, for the down part, there are a fantastic waterfall but due to the water stream too fast and high that day, I didn't take the risk to bring my friends there. But I did bring them to the upper part which you can find a nature water fall slide. (To travel to the upper part, do refer my video)

How to go Serendah Waterfall

You need to located Serendah town to reach Serendah waterfall. Serendah town is a town after Rawang and before Hulu Yam. Refer below google map to reach Serendah Town.

From Serendah town main street, go straight and reach a T-Junction(turn left is to the traffic light while right to Serendah waterfall) , turn right and head toward Kampung Datuk Harun(if you enter from the traffic light, you will no need to by pass Serendah town). In Kampung Datuk Harun, once you see a school on your left hand side, turn left and follow the way. Along the way you will see a sign board that mentioned Kampung Orang Asli, turn left and go in, drive around 10 minutes till the end, you will reach Serendah Waterfall car park.
By the way, my suggestion to you is go to Kampung Datuk Harun and ask the local there. Cause from town till the waterfall, it will be 6km drive.

If you know Sekeping Serendah, the waterfall just a bit further up from the junction toward Sekeping Serendah.
