Restaurant Hok Seng Steamboat at Dataran Sunway Mentari has been offering great variety of food, yet you dont need to queue for at least half an hour to be served because Hok Seng provides sufficient seats for customers to dine in. Hok Seng Steamboat offers chicken, tom yam, herbal and soya soups for selection.
Rainy season recently and is a perfect time to enjoy steamboat. Having
steamboat in a cold weather is definitely the best feeling other than
heading to Genting to enjoy a cup of hot coffee. This round, I purchased
4 everyday coupon for RM 12.90/pax, original price is RM 25.80/pax,
this definitely a great deal for steamboat buffet dinner.

For the environment, it is very neat, spacious and lighting is good, you will feel very comfortable to enjoy your dinner there.

Shell, clam, fish and other seafood were catered as well, all of them tasted fresh.

Sliced meat such as pork, chicken, beef, ham, and etc were provided here, but since I need to cut down the meat, I didn't try them all. But all of them looked very fresh.

You can found a variety of fish balls at the fridge near the corner.

A full plate of fish balls, tofu, dumpling and crab sticks.

The mushrooms were tasted great as well.

Time to put everything into the pot :).

We
choose chicken soup and tom yam soup, which the pot allow you to have
maximum 2 soup bases favour. Excited to waiting the soup to boil.

Less than ten minutes, the steamboat ready, personally I prefer the tom yam soup.

For the escargot shell, it didn't have a lot of meat, maybe the size of the shell is too small.

The fish shape fish ball was pretty special, first time I saw this type of fish ball. You can enjoy them with the sweet soya and chili sauce.

In Hok Seng, they also served ready food such as fried dumpling, fried wanton, salad, and etc.

The green oyster served here as well, but from the appearance and taste, this isn't A grade oyster, but is better than some of the steamboat restaurant didn't serve this because it's cheap.

Something that I liked, the fried boxing chicken, tasted good, you need to act fast, because the quantity served not much.

For the ice cream, not a famous brand, so don't put too high hope on this.
In conclusion, Hok Seng Steamboat Buffet, which cost RM 25.80/pax is a good choice, it really better than a lot of steamboat restaurant. The reason is I like the freshness of the food, and the environment that not too crowded. So it worth for your money and a thumb up for them.
