Pulau Ketam or the Crab Island is a small island located off the coast of Port Klang, Klang, Selangor. Majority residents at Pulau Ketam are mainly Teochew and Hoklo (Hokkien) Chinese. It also a fishing village which most of the local work as fishermen. Pulau Ketam is an island of mangrove swamps with a village built on stilts. So you can find a lot of floating houses there.

Pulau Ketam is well known for some special foods as well. The first thing that we tried was the chili rice (Chinese Style Nasi Lemak).

How To Go Pulau Ketam

To reach Pulau Ketam is very easy, first you need to drive up to the Port Klang Jetty.

From Kuala Lumpur, use Federal Highway, follow the sign board to Klang, after you by pass the Klang toll, follow a sign board that shown Port Klang or Pulau Ketam Jeti (in chocolate color, any sign board with this color is consider a tourist hot spot). So simply follow the sign board. You will by pass a police station on your right side, then Klang KTM Station on your right as well. Once you see the KTM station, turn right on the T-Junction, it will lead you to a very small road and you will found the below building after 1 minutes drive.
