The Malaysia International Toy Fair (MITF) will be a major platform for the promotion of local and international toys, toy-related culture and creative entertainment. The event will host various activities and exhibitions to satisfy fans of Toys, Models, Collections, Games, Comics, Animation, Design & Cosplay.

Venue : Mid Valley Exhibition and Conventional Center
Date : 24-25 July 2010
Time : 10AM - 9PM
Admission : RM 3.00

Organized by Nicodemus Management Enterprise, the event will allow Malaysia to join the ranks of its neighbours such as Singapore, Indonesia and Philippines, which has hosted successful toy fairs in the past.

Besides catering to local fans, the Malaysia International Toy Fair also functions as a stimulus for the Malaysian toy industry. The event aims to bring the local toy industry to a higher level by spreading brand awareness among consumers, while creating an avenue for networking, business opportunities and trade and media exposure for the toy industry.

Sixty booths have already been taken by well-established local and international parties in toy-related and creative fields, with many more spots expected to be filled before the event. Exhibitors include toy designers, toy retailers, artists, game publishers, distributors and others.

“A wide variety of toys will be featured to satisfy enthusiasts from all ages and walks of life,” explained Nick Tan, the project manager for MITF. “The event is not only for children, but older fans as well.”

Among the participants to watch out for are Creative Science International, Dooodolls, Dweey and Eightyfourcube, while notable exhibitors from the international front include Philippines Toy Con, Full Toys-Toy2r (HK), WreckerTike(SG), WantonDoodle (SG), Not (Indonesia) BAH (Indonesia) and many more.

Comic and animation enthusiasts will be happy to find out that Animax Asia, Gempak Starz, Lao Fu Zi Media (Master Q) and Les Copaque (creators of hit animation Upin and Ipin) will be participating, while gamers can expect exciting game promotions and showcases by companies such as E-factory, Kingsoft, Go Play Play, CiB Net Station, Eagle game, Game Play Interactive and 8 Interactive.

Artists and the creative community will be able to satisfy their creative hunger by interacting and witnessing fellow artists and designers at work in the Artist Invasion Zone. "Local Star Wars and Science Fiction fans will be thrilled by crowd interactive games organized by the 501st Legion Malaysia-Brunei Outpost such as the Droid Hunt Game."

Other highlights include the MITF Qee DIY Competition International Malaysia International Toy Photography Contest, Lego building contest, games competition, cosplay contest and many more.
