DSLR Mirror allows you to see, through the viewfinder. It reflecting the image up, and into the eyepiece. It flips up the instant that you press the shutter release and returns once the picture is taken.
Most of us change lens, and dust do go inside and might stick on mirror. This is normal.
The reason to share this out here is to let's you all know what you should not do.
Some mirrors can be replaced but it is costly. Any dust on the mirror will not appear in your photographs, so if in doubt, leave it alone.
When you can't see anything from your view finder, else please leave it. Although you saw some dust fall or stick on the mirror, it will not affect your photograph.
Your camera is an expensive tool, please don't do any service your own if you not sure. Send to service center or get the right person for this.
